While vacationing in Hancock, MA, I found Papa Joe's via a Trip Advisor Search. After reading a bunch of reviews, we decided to try it for dinner. It was one of the best meals we've had this trip! Almost everything on the menu is homemade...the bread, the pizza, the meatballs, many of the desserts...and they are all delicious! We started off with an antipasto, which was more than enough for the 3 adults to share, and our waitress (who was excellent!) brought out the homemade bread. I could have just had the bread and been happy. Then our meal--a pizza for 2 of us to share & the Taste of Italy for our 3rd person. The pizza, which we ordered with the thin crust, was hot from the oven, and had a great sauce/cheese ratio--not too much of either! The taste of Italy was just the right size with 2 meatballs, 2 pieces of sausage, mozzarella sticks, and garlic bread. While we asked for boxes to take home leftovers, the waitress teased us about not leaving with dessert. So we ordered hillbilly pie and cookies and cream pie to go--the hillbilly pie is similar to Kentucky Derby pie (think warm chocolate chip cookie) and did not disappoint after following the waitress' suggestion that I heat it in the microwave for 10 seconds. The cookies and Cream was also delicious & refreshing & full of sweet non dairy whipped topping & an Oreo cookie-like crust. It was quite a treat to eat at Papa Joe's and if we are ever close by, we will definitely have dinner there again!
