Noble View Outdoor Center
635 South Quarter Road
- Russell, MA
(203) 898-3131
The event is 2 days with an overnight stay at one of the cottages at Noble View Outdoor Center which are rustic and very New England looking. We start the event at Tyingham Cobbles and help remove invasive species with the Appalachian Trail Maintenance Crew while learning what is indigenous and invasive and how conservation is so critical to preserve this trail. Following this we will take showers at Noble View and have a BBQ and chat about our days events and discuss leadership and the opportunities and challenges for women in leadership roles. Following this we will take a night hike to listen and learn about nature and gain some perspectives about our own self awareness and some experiential training on the hike. Heading back for sleep at the cottage we will arise in the morning around 8ish, make our own breakfast as a group dynamics exercise, go to yoga outdoors and then listen to Kristen Sykes on share her expertise as Conservation Director of AMC. From there we will go on another experiential hike led by Laura Stinnett who has held the role of Director Educational Programs at Noble View for a few years and return for lunch.

This will be a fun paced weekend of hiking, learning, conservation knowledge and female bonding. Expect it to be a great time!

June 17   FOUR VOICES
Tanglewood
297 West Street
- Lenox, MA

The "Four Voices" tour was born from a friendship between Joan Baez, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Amy Ray, and Emily Saliers. Over 25 years ago, Baez invited Ray and Saliers to perform at a 1991 benefit at the Berkeley Community Theater for her human rights organization, Humanitas. Upon accepting the invitation, Ray and Saliers suggested enlisting Carpenter as well. After a successful performance, the four of them reconnected a year later at an Earth Day Celebration in Boston and at the Newport Folk Festival. Most recently, while together at Baez's 75th birthday concert at the Beacon Theatre, they discussed the possibility of going on tour together and-one year later-the Four Voices Tour was confirmed.

June 22   ARI & MIA WITH LULA WI1ES
Dewey Hall
91 Main Street
- Sheffield, MA
(413) 528-5739
"Strikingly beautiful, distinctive and exhilarating, with expressive vocals that will find a way into hearts and minds" (No Depression), Ari & Mia reference the styles of Southern and Northeastern fiddle music and the early American songbook to create a realm where their own compositions cross paths with older traditions. Their stylish and sophisticated music honors the sounds of Appalachian cottages, rural dance floors, and urban concert halls. Combine this with their innovative approach to songwriting and the result is a captivating sound.

Lula Wiles are equally at home in a rowdy bar of two-steppers, a sweltering midsummer festival stage, or a quiet candlelit club. Their effervescent vocal harmonies, deep musical chemistry, and evocative arrangements create a dynamic and spirited live show that's like a whiskey-slap to the heart.

BEMF CHAMBER OPERA SERIES
Pergolesi's La serva padrona & Livietta e Tracollo

Humor and love abound as the BEMF Chamber Opera Series returns with an encore presentation of a double bill of Neapolitan comic opera—Pergolesi's La serva padrona and Livietta e Tracollo. First performed in November, 2014, these delightfully witty masterpieces come to life in an intimate chamber production led by Musical Directors Paul O’Dette and Stephen Stubbs and Stage Director Gilbert Blin.

Originally written as interludes during productions with a more sober tone, Pergolesi’s comedies enchanted audiences with their side-splitting humor and engaging romance. La serva padrona tells the tale of a cunning maid who conspires to win the heart of her testy employer, while in Livietta e Tracollo, a duplicitous con artist meets his match in an peasant woman plotting his comeuppance to avenge her brother.
