What's not to love about about the beautiful Berkshires? Mountain
views, a babbling brook, open hay fields and red barns.
This exquisitely restored 1790 home and barns has all
that and awaits you and your Berkshires vacation.
Centrally located in the mid-Berkshires means activities
and attractions in the Northern and Southern Berkshires
are just a scenic drive away. Central Berkshires
attractions like Jiminy Peak and Ramblewild Tree to Tree
adventures are a 5 minute hop down the road. The Red
Barn Farm House is the perfect launch location for all
your activities.
Centrally located also means peace and tranquility in a
rural agrarian community. A large grassy patio area
directly out the living room doors overlooks perennial
gardens and hay fields. A babbling brook a hundred steps
farther out back provides a nice place to stroll or
contemplate the day. A fire pit near the patio areas
makes for a lovely spot to finish the day with s'mores
or a warm blanket.
Whatever your definition of the perfect Berkshires
vacation is, the Red Barn property offers it all.
Originally a summer kitchen and storage barn, this
attached guest suite boasts post and beam construction,
original plank wall paneling, exposed timber framing and
incredible hillside views out the living room French
doors. It has the look and feel of vintage construction
with modern amenities to make you feel comfortably at
home.
The guest suite overlooks 3 of the 4 red barns and
nearly 8 acres of lawn, gardens and hay fields. Fully
furnished, it has a first floor master bedroom, galley
kitchen, dining room, full bath and spacious living
room. The upper floor has 2 additional bedrooms (1 queen
bed and 2 twin beds) and a half bath. The unit has both
a private and shared entry and there is a shared mudroom
with full size washer and dryer. Rental is for entire
guest suite.
Conveniently located in Hancock Village on Main Street,
the Red Barn property is just 5 minutes to Jiminy Peak
Resort and another minute or two to Ramblewild tree to
tree adventures. Mount Greylock, Williams College, WTF, and
The Clark Museum are about 20 minutes north. North
Adams, Mass MOCA, the Massachusetts College of Liberal
Arts and similar attractions are 30 minutes northeast.
And the epitome of The Berkshires -- Tanglewood, Lenox,
Lee and Stockbridge/West Stockbridge are a scenic drive
30 minutes southeast. There are enough adventures,
museums and sights to spend an entire summer exploring.
